The world was introduced to artist Charles Hammond Jr. with his work as a singer/songwriter with the release of his debut EP, “Hello, My Name Is...," and follow-up single, “Will Work For Love."  With those works, he went on to receive airplay and favorable attention from critics:

“Diverse and dynamic, Chicago’s Hammond flirts effortlessly with different genres, revealing his vast experience with music.” – DJ Radhu (BamaLoveSoul – U.S.)

“Charles is a modern soul-man at heart with a voice that can melt a heart as easy as it can raise the roof.”  - SoulUK (SoulBounce – U.K.)

“… brimming with confidently put together and beautifully-delivered experimental soul…” – Celina Murphy (Hot Press – Ireland)

“Blending R&B, Jazz, Funk, & Soul into one package, you really get a sense that he has complete versatility when it comes to his style…” – Todd Kunsman (Oh So Fresh! Music – U.S.)

As Charles continues his exploration as an artist, this has organically led him into the world of photography. In addition to his ongoing work as a vocalist, Charles is a working photographer and photography major at Columbia College Chicago, where he is continuing to hone his skills in the Integrated Photography concentration with a focus on commercial, fine art, and fashion photography.
